Guide to Support Implementation: Novel Study for Grades 4-9 French Immersion
These resources are based on the outcomes of the French Language Arts Program of Studies and its primary goal is to facilitate the alignment of novel studies with the outcomes of reading, writing, and speaking. The guides include instructional strategies to support rich language tasks when teaching novels, along with examples for summative and formative assessment activities appropriate to the grade levels therein. The document supports 'engaging' students to read 'in French', in a more focused and meaningful way.
Teachers can book a session to review the resources and to develop a plan to teach to the novel study by emailing info@erlc.ca.
