Purpose/Background: The pedagogical practices of teaching for conceptual understanding and transfer of learning are applicable to be used with any curriculum document or approach. Educators can develop concepts and build conceptual learning experiences from a Knowledge and Skills paradigm to a conceptually based paradigm of Know/Understand/Do (KUD) to explore deep learning and learning transfer.
